Wild Adventures Theme Park in Valdosta, Georgia, announced the opening of bookings for its new Wild Adventures Safari Campground starting June 3. Construction of the seven-acre campground began in December and is scheduled to open on September 19, coinciding with Great Pumpkin LumiNights.
The campground showcases various accommodations, including RV and tent camping and cottages. It offers 58 RV sites with full hook-ups, 33 tent sites, and two cottages equipped with full kitchens and private restrooms. Other amenities include a fishing pond, playground, private entrance to the theme park, and exclusive animal habitats.
In addition to these features, guests will enjoy direct access to Wild Adventures Theme Park and have the chance to engage in exclusive animal experiences. These include feeding and learning sessions with giraffes and behind-the-scenes encounters with lemurs, sloths, tamanduas, and African porcupines.
Jon Vigue, vice president and general manager of Wild Adventures, expressed his excitement about the new campground, highlighting it as another example of the park’s commitment to providing guests with unique and unforgettable experiences.
“Our new campground will offer families new ways to escape, have adventures, and get close to special animals from around the world,” Vigue said in a press release published by Valdosta Today.
The booking process is designed to be quick and easy, with discounts available for season pass holders, military personnel, and seniors. “We are incredibly excited to take our first bookings on Monday and even more excited to welcome guests this fall to experience Wild Adventures in a whole new way,” Vigue added.
Wild Adventures Theme Park, located off Interstate 75 midway between Atlanta and Orlando, Florida, is a family destination, offering 35 family and thrill rides, hundreds of exotic animals, numerous concerts, and special events. Splash Island Waterpark, part of the theme park, was named one of the “Top 30 Waterparks” in the country by U.S. News & World Report.
The park has also received several accolades, including being ranked the fifth most affordable theme park in America by HomeToGo and the top theme park deal in Georgia by Yahoo Finance. In July, TripAdvisor ranked Wild Adventures as the “#1 Theme Park in Georgia.”
