Forrest Street Partners acquired Leisure Acres Campground, an RV resort located in Cleveland, GA, approximately one hour north of Atlanta. This acquisition positions the park as a strategic entry point for RV enthusiasts visiting the surrounding attractions, including Dahlonega, Helen, Dawsonville, and Gainesville. The firm aims to enhance Leisure Acres’ offerings, which feature 135 RV sites and one cabin.
The firm plans to implement a series of upgrades. Proposed improvements include paving roads, constructing new dog parks, enhancing fencing, and refining branding efforts. Forrest Street Partners intends to retain the current staff, emphasizing the importance of operational efficiency in its management approach.
“Our focus is on the park’s infrastructure and operations as we train the existing team and continue to prioritize the guest experience,” Todd Baldree, a partner at Forrest Street, said in a press release.
Leisure Acres has been a favored destination for both short-term and long-term campers, attracting visitors with its range of amenities. The campground features a fishing pond with a Trex-covered deck, a community center, pool, playground, laundry center, and an updated bathhouse with modern heating and air conditioning. These facilities enhance the camping experience, making it appealing to families and individuals alike.
The park’s location further contributes to its attractiveness. Situated near Dahlonega, known for its wineries, and Helen, which hosts an annual Oktoberfest, Leisure Acres offers guests numerous options for exploration and leisure. The surrounding area also provides various shopping and dining opportunities, enriching the overall visitor experience.
Cleveland also presents a blend of natural beauty and urban conveniences, making it an ideal location for an RV park. The town is strategically positioned to attract visitors seeking a retreat in North Georgia while providing easy access to urban amenities.
