The Freedom Group announced its acquisition of Ross Hill RV Park & Campground, effective May 1. Under the new ownership, the campground will undergo targeted improvements and expansions to enhance the guest experience.
Located in Lisbon, Connecticut, Ross Hill Campground is known for its scenic area along the Quinebaug River and spans 50 acres. The property includes a swimming pond, laundry facilities, waterfront sites, a clubhouse, and an RV camp store.
According to a press release, The Freedom Group plans significant improvements at Ross Hill RV Park. These include septic system upgrades, major tree work, enhancements to the central pavilion, new playground amenities, and a new HVAC system for the clubhouse. The upgrades are designed to enhance services and maintain affordable monthly rates for current campers.
Kevin Barnett, CEO of The Freedom Group, emphasized the diverse range of on-site activities and amenities at Ross Hill RV Park, including the swimming pond, fishing lake, and clubhouse events.
“This diversity is key to our strong market position and sustained growth potential,” Barnett said.
Another aspect of the acquisition is listening to direct feedback from guests. Central to the group’s philosophy is a “Community Redefined.” The campground will seek feedback from residents through surveys and social media engagement.

In addition to improvements, Ross Hill RV Park & Campground will feature a website with 24/7 live chat, easy-to-use forms, and phone text messaging capabilities. This feature allows campers to make online payments, schedule tours, and manage their accounts seamlessly.
