CampgroundViews.com is developing virtual tours of up to 250 campgrounds in Arizona to make trip planning easy for RV and tent campers, according to a press release.
The service is being made possible by a grant from the Arizona Office of Tourism’s Outdoor Recreation Revitalization Program, which helps tourism-dependent businesses and communities recover from the pandemic.
“We were happy to be able to support the efforts of CampgroundViews.com and other tourism businesses through the Visit Arizona Initiative Outdoor Recreation Revitalization Program,” said Debbie Johnson, director of the Arizona Office of Tourism. “Visitors are looking for camping and outdoor recreation opportunities more than ever this summer, and Arizona is a perfect destination for a getaway.”

A 2022 Camping Report by Kampgrounds of America (KOA) revealed that over 57 million households in the United States took camping trips in 2021 compared to 48 million in 2020 and 42 million in 2019. The overall increase in camping participation has strained the resources of campgrounds and RV parks.
