SVN Safe Haven Advisors has announced the successful sale of Paradise Point Marina and RV Park, located on Lay Lake in Columbiana, Alabama.
The buyer, Paradise Point Marine Group, LLC, brings extensive experience in the marine and hospitality industries.
This recent transaction highlights the continued demand for marina investments nationwide, including both stabilized assets and those with value-add potential.
The sale was coordinated by David Kendall, a founding partner of SVN | Safe Haven Advisors, and Justin Toomey of SVN | Toomey Property Advisors.
Kendall’s expertise in the national marina market, coupled with Toomey’s local experience, proved invaluable in facilitating the transaction effectively.
“We extend our congratulations to the owner and staff of Paradise Point Marina on the sale of this unique asset, which stands as one of the most coveted attractions on Lay Lake,” said David Kendall.
He continued, “The ownership had a vision to create a thriving marine-centric business that fosters a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and visitors.”
Over the past two decades, Paradise Point Marina has grown to include 57 wet boat slips, 120 dry bays, 31 RV sites, and a full-service 90-seat waterfront restaurant. The dedicated staff, committed management, and loyal customers have all contributed to the remarkable success of the operation.
Lay Lake, situated between Birmingham and Montgomery in Shelby County, Alabama, is a year-round destination.
Its natural landscape along the Coosa River entices visitors with opportunities for swimming, hiking, and prize-winning bass fishing. What sets Paradise Point Marina apart from other facilities on the lake is its array of amenities and facilities.
“David played an instrumental role in achieving the successful outcome of this transaction,” stated Chris Horton, the owner of Paradise Point.
“His expertise in marina and marine business transactions, combined with the ability to navigate complex negotiations, was invaluable,” Horton added.
RV parks in the surrounding area, particularly those in close proximity to Paradise Point Marina, are likely to benefit from this sale.
The acquisition by Paradise Point Marine Group, LLC, signifies a continued interest in investing in marina properties and could attract more visitors to the region. As the marina and RV park flourish under new ownership, it is expected to contribute to the local economy, create job opportunities, and enhance the overall appeal of the area.
