In a significant move, Airxcel, Inc. has announced that its online product training programs are now eligible for the esteemed RV Technical Institute (RVTI) Certification. This decision underscores the company’s commitment to delivering top-tier training to RV dealers, service centers, and technicians.
Airxcel’s online training encompasses a wide range of products, including Aqua-Hot, Suburban, and Coleman-Mach. These sessions, facilitated by seasoned instructors, delve deep into topics such as hydronic heat and water systems, service, installation, and repair of appliances, and wall thermostats and basic AC training.
To earn the coveted continuing education credits (CEUs), participants must not only attend the entire session but also ace a quiz with a score of 80% or higher.
“We’ve meticulously designed these courses around some of our flagship products,” said Tracey Viburg, the director of customer service for Airxcel. “Our objective is to ensure technicians are adept in the care and maintenance of these systems, enabling them to offer unparalleled service to RV customers,” he remarked, emphasizing the pivotal role of these courses.
The online platform’s flexibility is another feather in its cap. In today’s fast-paced world, it’s only sometimes feasible for technicians to attend in-person training. Airxcel’s online courses bridge this gap, allowing technicians to undergo training in manageable segments while still earning the requisite credits to uphold their certifications, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.
RVTI Executive Director Curtis Hemmeler lauded Airxcel’s initiative. “The Level 3 trainings by Airxcel are a golden opportunity for Institute-trained RV techs to specialize,” Hemmeler said.
“Our collaboration with Airxcel is a testament to our shared vision of equipping the RV industry with a cadre of highly trained technicians.”
It’s worth noting that technicians with Levels 2-4 certifications are mandated to complete 24 hours of CEUs every five years to retain their RVTI certifications. This ensures that technicians are always abreast of the latest developments in the RV world.
Airxcel’s decision to make its online training programs eligible for RVTI Certification is a game-changer. It not only elevates the standard of training but also ensures that RV customers receive service from the crème de la crème of technicians.
