Airxcel showcased a range of new products aimed at the Class B van market during the 2024 OEM New Product Showcase in Wichita, Kansas, on October 23. With Class B vans and smaller RVs gaining popularity, Airxcel brands, including Coleman-Mach, InVision, Velarium, and Vixen Composites, introduced innovations designed to enhance comfort and functionality for van enthusiasts.
Airxcel’s President and CEO, Anthony Wollschlager, emphasized the importance of offering products that allow customers to experience home-like comfort while traveling, reflecting the company’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of RV owners.
“The Class B market is continuing to be a popular segment, particularly for new RV owners. We want our customers to have those same comforts of home while they’re out on the road,” Wollschlager explained.
Among the products highlighted was the Coleman-Mach 48V Rooftop A/C unit, tailored for Class B vans and compact trailers. This unit features a three-speed adjustable fan, a quiet mode for nighttime use, and a low-profile ceiling assembly to maximize space.
InVision, another Airxcel brand, introduced a 3.1 cu. ft. 12V refrigerator, complete with customizable temperature settings, a quiet mode, and a boost mode for rapid cooling.
Velarium unveiled a 12V electric RV lateral arm box awning, crafted for durability and ease of use. The lightweight, black powder-coated aluminum case protects the awning when retracted, while optional features such as LED lighting, wind sensors, and app-based controls cater to different levels of customization. This product is intended for vans with limited head clearance, providing a compact and versatile shading solution for Class B owners.
Meanwhile, Vixen Composites also presented its Vixenite PET Foam Core Composite Panel, a lightweight and durable alternative to traditional wood substrates for van sub-floors. Engineered for strength and moisture resistance, the panel’s one-piece construction allows for precise installations, aiming to streamline the outfitting process for RV manufacturers.
