New AGS Travel Guide Highlights Missouri’s Camping, Glamping, and Top Attractions

AGS has unveiled a comprehensive camping, glamping, and travel guide for Missouri, aiming to boost tourism across the state. The guide, which includes both print and digital formats, is also accessible through the website MoCampingGlampingTravel.com.

“We’ve produced 40,000 copies of the guide, which we plan to distribute widely not only in Missouri, but across the country,” said Brian Schaeffer, president and CEO of AGS. AGS is known for producing camping and travel guides for private parks and state associations nationwide.

The free 48-page guide provides an extensive directory of nearly 300 campgrounds across Missouri. It also includes a welcome message from Stephen Foutes, Missouri’s director of tourism, and highlights the state’s most popular attractions.

Among the featured destinations are Branson, renowned for its entertainment offerings; the Ozarks, home to scenic landscapes such as Mark Twain National Forest; and St. Louis, where the iconic Gateway Arch rises 630 feet above the Mississippi River. The guide also emphasizes historical sites, such as the National World War I Museum & Memorial in Kansas City and the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum in Independence.

In addition, advertisers in the guide received digital banner ads on the MoCampingGlampingTravel.com website, enhancing the guide’s digital reach.

Distribution of the guide is a key component of AGS’s strategy. Schaeffer noted that Anderson’s Brochure Distribution Service will distribute the Missouri guide at tradeshows nationwide this winter. AGS is also providing free copies to Missouri Travel Centers and campgrounds that request them via [email protected].

AGS, based in Crowley, Texas, has a long history of publishing guest guides, producing over two million annually across the U.S. and Canada. These guides, including the Missouri edition, are printed using environmentally friendly recycled paper and soy-based ink.

Texas Advertising Company acquired AGS in 2011 from Good Sam Enterprises LLC. The company, which began 38 years ago, continues to support the travel industry with resources that connect travelers with local destinations.
