Kampgrounds of America, Inc. (KOA) at its annual KOA Convention & Expo in Orlando, Florida recognized winners of the President’s and Founder’s Awards. According to a press release, 430 KOA campgrounds received award recognition this year.
Each year, KOA gathers guest surveys from more than a quarter million KOA campers following their campground stays. That vital guest feedback, paired with the results of an annual inspection process, qualifies KOA campgrounds across the US and Canada for a set of awards – the Founder’s Award and the President’s Award.
The KOA President’s Award is proudly presented to KOA campgrounds that excel in providing excellent camping facilities and consistently high levels of guest service.
Chosen by KOA’s camping guests through satisfaction surveys and Kampgrounds of America, Inc.’s stringent quality inspection, recipients of the President’s Award are dedicated to providing great KOA camping.

In Alabama, Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA Journey bagged the Founder’s Award while Gulf Shores / Pensacola West KOA Holiday brought home the President’s Award.
Founder’s Award winners in Alaska include Homer / Baycrest KOA Holiday, Seward KOA Journey, and Valdez KOA Journey, while those who were recognized for the same award in Arizona include Kingman KOA Journey, Mesa / Apache Junction KOA Journey, Picacho / Tucson NW KOA Journey, Tucson / Lazydays KOA Resort, Willcox /Cochise KOA Holiday, and Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA Holiday.
