The Vu at Ballencrieff Reservoir (Scotland) has already gotten a go signal to construct ten glamping pods at the luxurious West Lothian holiday venue. Still, they’ve submitted a second application to get additional pods at Bathgate Hills.

Established in 2008, The Vu in Bathgate Hills operates primarily as an event venue for weddings. However, this stunning spot now provides luxury accommodation for holiday guests.
The council approved ten pods in the past year and the destination has applied for nine more pods, which means there could now be 19 glamping pods located on the site in addition to their two five-star newly-wed log cabins.
The Vu has named their pods “Snugs” and claims they offer “perfect accommodation” for anyone seeking a peaceful break.

According to The Vu, “the Snug is the perfect accommodation for guests who have business in the Scottish central belt and are looking for a quiet retreat,”
They also added that the Snugs are ideally located for access to Glasgow and Edinburgh and reminded guests that accessing it will require vehicle transport.
“The Snugs have their own en-suite facilities with a generous king-size bed and one single fold-down bed (suitable for a child).”

“They are also equipped with their own fridge, microwave, kettle, and a hairdryer. All the Snugs benefit from central heating and, of course, a breath-taking view across the Scottish central belt.”
According to The Vu’s proposal, they expect to hire more staff with the new glamping operation.

The Vu has also submitted a request to the council to build two new tracks for access on the site. The number of people visiting the site is expected to grow dramatically in the coming year.
The West Lothian Council is expected to decide on the application in the next few months.
