Two Norfolk Caravan Parks Ranked Among UK’s Top 10 by Practical Caravan

Two caravan parks in Norfolk have been recognized among the top camping destinations in the United Kingdom, according to a recent ranking by Practical Caravan. The evaluation, which assessed campsites submitted by caravanners, focused on factors such as pitch size, grounds maintenance, and the helpfulness of staff.

The Old Brick Kilns in Barney, near Fakenham, and Pinecones Caravan and Camping in Dersingham, near King’s Lynn, secured positions in the publication’s top 10.

The Old Brick Kilns spans 13 acres and was highlighted by judges for its “spacious pitches and five washroom blocks.” Judges also recommended that visitors “enjoy a visit to the campsite’s bird hide or the wildlife pond to catch a glimpse of the varied wildlife living there.”

Pinecones Caravan and Camping drew attention for its location near attractions including the Sandringham Visitor Center and the Snettisham Coast. According to Eastern Daily Press, the site offers a variety of pitch options, including hardstanding fully serviced pitches with 16-amp electric hook-ups and picnic huts.

Both parks have previously received attention from the media. Mail Online described them as among the “poshest” caravan sites in the country, reflecting a growing interest in higher-quality amenities and well-maintained grounds within the caravan and glamping sector.

This recognition may influence prospective visitors and operators looking to benchmark standards, as industry professionals increasingly focus on offering a range of facilities that enhance the guest experience.

For operators in the outdoor hospitality sector, the ranking underscores the importance of pitch diversity, well-kept grounds, and accessible staff in attracting repeat customers and positive reviews. It also highlights the potential value of leveraging nearby attractions and natural amenities to differentiate a site from competitors.

By paying attention to these factors, parks and glamping operators can better align with traveler expectations and potentially increase occupancy rates throughout the season. This year’s Practical Caravan rankings were announced in early April 2026, reflecting submissions and site assessments conducted over the past year.
