Somerset Campsite Secures Finalist Spots in Two Tourism Award Categories

Knowle Meadow Camping, located at Knowle Lane, Chard, TA20 3BZ in Somerset, England has secured finalist positions in two categories at the prestigious Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards. This recognition highlights the campsite’s commitment to excellence in its inaugural season.

Customer feedback has been instrumental in Knowle Meadow’s success. The campsite’s dedication has resulted in their nomination as finalists in two categories: “Camping and Caravanning Park of the Year” and “New Tourism Business of the Year.

According to a report by Somerset County Gazette, the awards ceremony, scheduled for December 5th, will reveal whether Knowle Meadow Camping wins bronze, silver, or gold in their nominated categories. This recognition comes as a testament to the campsite’s rapid rise in the competitive tourism industry.

In the “New Tourism Business of the Year” category, Knowle Meadow faces competition from Hadspen Glamping in Castle Cary, Noah’s seafood restaurant, and Sparks department store, both in Bristol. The “Camping and Caravanning Park of the Year” category pits them against Mendip Basecamp in Churchill.

Knowle Meadow Camping offers ten pitches for tents and campervans up to six meters in length. The site offers competitive pricing, with rates starting from £40 per night and accommodation options beginning at £120 nightly.

A spokesperson for Knowle Meadow Camping expressed their excitement, stating, “We’re delighted to find out we are FINALISTS in the Bristol, Bath & Somerset Tourism Awards for both Campsite of the Year and New Tourism Business of the Year! The award ceremony is on 5 December, and we can’t wait. What a way to round off our first full season! Fingers crossed!”

As Knowle Meadow Camping awaits the awards ceremony, their nominations underscore their impressive debut in Somerset’s tourism landscape, setting a promising foundation for future success. Their achievements not only celebrate the hard work and vision behind the venture but also reflect the campsite’s potential to become a key player in the region’s tourism industry.
