Pine Developments filed plans with East Ayrshire Council to establish a glamping site on the outskirts of Cumnock. The proposed development, if approved, would include glamping pods, a reception building, and designated areas for tent pitches.
A decision on the proposed glamping site plans is expected in January. The site is planned to be located near the intersection of Glaisnock Road and Benston Smithy.
The application documents do not specify the total number of glamping pods to be constructed. However, plans indicate a mix of two- and three-bedroom lodges, glamping pods, and tent-pitching areas. The proposal also outlines the inclusion of a reception facility featuring a café, shop, and laundry services to enhance guest amenities.
According to an article published by Cumnock Chronicle on December 4, the site layout includes provisions for 24 parking spaces within the development boundary, ensuring adequate infrastructure for visitors. The exact timeline for the project’s implementation remains uncertain, pending approval from the council’s planning department.
The proposed glamping site near Cumnock stands to benefit from its proximity to several prominent attractions in East Ayrshire, enhancing its appeal to visitors seeking a mix of outdoor activities and cultural experiences.
