Ladram Bay Unveils £2M Revamp as Holiday Parks Adapt to Changing Travel Trends

Ladram Bay Holiday Park in East Devon has completed a £2 million redevelopment ahead of the 2025 summer season, introducing new holiday lodges, expanded play areas, and upgraded amenities.

The family-owned park, which has been in operation since 1943, has prioritized investment to enhance guest experiences in response to evolving holiday preferences.

The project includes 17 new lodges designed for open-plan living, complete with private hot tubs, according to a report by The Sun

Additional amenities include an expanded children’s play area, a dog agility course, and a newly introduced children’s art studio featuring a pottery kiln.

Zoe House, director of Ladram Bay and a member of the family that owns the park, emphasized the importance of continuous investment in improving guest experiences.

“Holiday habits are changing, and staycations are ever more appealing as airfares increase. Families want to trust they are getting a fantastic experience for every moment of their holiday before committing time and money to a trip away,” she said.

The redevelopment extends to Ladram Bay’s sister site, Castle Brake, located 15 minutes inland.

The owners have invested an additional £500,000 into infrastructure improvements and a full refurbishment of the site’s pub, Castle Bistro.

Guests staying at Castle Brake will continue to have access to Ladram Bay’s coastal amenities, including the private beach and swimming pool.

Ladram Bay’s upgrades align with broader trends in the holiday park sector, where operators are investing in high-end accommodations and on-site experiences to remain competitive.

With increasing demand for domestic travel, particularly in the UK’s coastal regions, parks that offer diverse attractions and modernized facilities stand to benefit from shifting consumer preferences.

House reiterated the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards across its properties.

“We’ve made it our mission to continually deliver the best quality experience for all the family, which is why investment has been so critical across our parks,” she said.

All updates at both sites are set to be available to guests starting March 7.
