Finalists Announced for Camping, Glamping, and Holiday Park of the Year Award

According to a local report, the East of England Tourism Awards 2022-2023 has announced the finalists for the Camping, Glamping, and Holiday Park of the Year award, sponsored by Next Phase Leisure and Sunseeker Holiday Homes.

This award recognizes local camping, glamping, holiday parks, sites and villages that provide memorable experiences for guests and demonstrate excellence in all areas.

The finalists for this year’s award are Albion Nights, Clippesby Hall Holiday Park, and Deepdale Camping & Rooms.

Albion Nights is a luxury, off-grid cabin located in Bungay, on the border between Norfolk and Suffolk. The cabin, hand-crafted using reclaimed, recycled, and reused materials, offers guests the opportunity to indulge in a relaxing and digital detox while immersing themselves in nature. 

Despite delays caused by the pandemic, Albion Nights has been operating at near 100% occupancy and has received widespread recognition, including features in Elle, Grazia, The Guardian, and The Times.

Clippesby Hall Holiday Park is a family-owned camping and touring site set in 34 acres of woodland near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. 

The site offers a range of accommodation options, from tucked away spaces to open-perimeter pitches and even shepherd huts, and features a BASECAMP area with bar, restaurant, shop, and recreation facilities. 

The park also offers onsite activities such as play parks, tennis courts, mini golf, and table tennis.

The judges praised the high level of customer service and the impressive accommodation options at Clippesby Hall.

Deepdale Camping & Rooms is an eco-friendly campsite located on the organic Deepdale Farm near King’s Lynn, Norfolk. 

The site offers 85 permanent pitches for tents, campervans, motorhomes, and trailer tents, as well as 12 en-suite rooms and four shared facility rooms in converted stables and granary buildings. 

The site’s passionate staff and convenient location, surrounded by countryside and within walking distance of local shops and facilities, earned praise from the judges.

The winners of the East of England Tourism Awards 2022-2023 will be announced at a black-tie event held at Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, Ipswich, Suffolk on Thursday, March 16.

As the outdoor hospitality industry continues to grow, these finalists represent some of the best camping, glamping, and holiday parks in the East of England and provide valuable insights for owners looking to improve their own operations.
