Serbia’s Lala Vineyard Glamping Resort Receives Prestigious Award

Lala Vineyard Glamping Resort, Serbia’s first-ever glamping vineyard, has been recognized with the top award at the 2022 Annual Tourism Awards on Thursday, December 15.

“I am truly honored and grateful for this award! Big thank you to the entire team and to everyone who has been supporting us from the beginning,” Nicholl Group CEO Olja Nicholl wrote in a LinkedIn post.

The award was given by the National Tourism Organization of Serbia, the organizing body of the event held in Belgrade yesterday. According to a Facebook post of the organization, award recipients were chosen based on some factors like bringing tourist services to another level and contributing to the development, improvement, and promotion of tourism in Serbia.

In a press release, Nicholls goes on to say that the core value of the business is sustainability. She also considers Lala Vineyard “charmingly local and experientially different”.

“The concept highlights the history of viticulture, unique traits of the environment, and specific location it is in while offering a luxury camping experience,” she added.

Lala Vineyard Glamping Resort prides itself on being Serbia’s first-ever glamping resort, bringing to the country the wonders of luxury camping.

“Although the company is set for worldwide expansion with its two agritourism brands, we are proud to have chosen Serbia as our first location for its natural beauty and stories yet to be discovered by international travelers,” Nicholls said.

Set near Serbia’s capital, the glamping resort which opened in July 2021 provides a nature escape while still being conveniently located near the city—an embodiment of the company’s plan of being rural yet accessible.

Only five kilometers away from the property is Fruška Gora National Park, making it an ideal location for glampers who want to unwind in nature while still being near the city.

Even with must-visit destinations in the local area, guests opting for a staycation can stay for a weekend and take a refreshing dip in the saltwater pool overlooking the lush landscape.

In a Zoom interview last month, Nicholls told Modern Campground that she also hopes to promote and improve wine tourism in the region through Lala Vineyard Glamping Resort.

“It was a no-brainer for us that we really wanted to put our flag down in the wine country, in the wine region of Serbia. So we’ve chosen this place close to [Fruška Gora],” she shared.

Currently, Lala Vineyard offers four glamping safari tents that guests can book for their getaway.
