The camping industry in Quebec will gather for its annual spring meeting, Camping Québec Day, according to its website. The event is scheduled for April 12 at the Mortagne Hotel in Boucherville.
Camping Québec, established in 1962, is an association of its kind in Canada, representing campground operators across Quebec. This private, non-profit association boasts over 800 members from both the private and public sectors, accounting for 90% of the camping offerings in the province.
The upcoming event is open to both members and non-members of the association and serves as a networking opportunity where attendees can connect with over 40 exhibitors. The exhibitors will present a range of products and services designed to enhance and support campground operations. Additionally, the day will feature conferences aimed at providing valuable insights and updates relevant to the industry.
The event will kick off with the “Camping Québec in Action” conference, led by Dominic Bergeron and Simon Tessier. They will share the latest developments within the association, introducing a refreshed approach to the conference. The day’s agenda includes four other conferences, each offering substantial information to the participants.
Admission to Camping Québec Day is complimentary for members of Camping Québec, while non-members can attend for a fee of CA$175, plus applicable taxes. The event is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m.
Members who have pre-ordered will have the opportunity to pick up their 2024 Guide to Camping in Quebec between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.
In addition, the Products and Services Show, a highlight of the day, will run from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., culminating in a draw for door prizes. Although registration covers coffee breaks, attendees are responsible for their lunch expenses.
