Pathfinder Ventures Reports Record May Long Weekend and Q1 2023 Financial Results

Pathfinder Ventures Inc. has announced its Q1 2023 financial results, highlighting a record occupancy for the May Long Weekend.

Pathfinder’s Q1 2023 financial highlights include 50% occupancy, 14,799 occupied site nights, a revenue of CA$512,384, and operating expenses amounting to CA$1,156,050.

Pathfinder has announced that this past May long weekend brought the company’s highest occupancy on record in the month of May. All Camp-Resorts were at full capacity from May 19-21, with a 4% increase YoY in occupied site nights.

Responding to the high reservation demand, Pathfinder was able to temporarily create additional RV sites to accommodate campers, resulting in higher occupied site nights.

According to the latest data, as of May 25, 2023, there have been 24,252 site nights booked for the next 12 months, representing a 17% increase from the same period last year.

The growth is mainly attributed to advanced bookings made in April for winter stays by returning guests. Although the booking windows for summer stays are becoming shorter compared to last year, the impact is being balanced out by earlier bookings for the upcoming winter season.

Pathfinder Ventures Inc. is developing a network of premier branded, upscale, and family-friendly RV parks and campgrounds under the “Pathfinder Camp Resorts” name. Pathfinder currently has three camp resorts located in B.C. and is focused on growing its network through both acquisitions and new construction. The Corporation is taking advantage of the rapidly growing market of Canadians who want to experience the great outdoors in an RV.

The outdoor hospitality industry, particularly RV parks and campgrounds, has experienced significant growth in recent years, driven by a renewed interest in outdoor activities and travel, and the rising popularity of RV ownership.

This trend has been further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic as more people have turned to RVing and camping as a safe and socially-distanced vacation option.

As a result, companies like Pathfinder Ventures can benefit from this increased demand and strive to expand their network of upscale, family-friendly camp resorts to cater to the evolving needs of campers.

By incorporating modern amenities, unique experiences, and sustainable practices, outdoor hospitality providers can continue to attract new and returning guests, ensuring the industry’s long-term growth and success.
