New Ownership Ushers in Next Era for Campkin’s RV Centre After 53 Years

Campkin’s RV Centre is entering a new chapter as Jamie McMillan officially takes ownership of the long-established dealership, purchasing the business from longtime owner Roland Goreski in a transition rooted in continuity, respect and a shared passion for the RV lifestyle.

Based in Whitby, the dealership has served the community for more than 53 years, building a reputation for trusted service and customer commitment, according to a press release.

For years, Roland Goreski has been a well-known and respected figure in the RV community, recognized for his industry expertise and dedication to helping families create lasting camping memories.

Under his leadership, Campkin’s strengthened its standing as a go-to dealership for RV buyers and owners alike.

McMillan’s connection to the business began not as an employee, but as a customer. “My first experience with Campkin’s was as a customer, when I purchased my first tent trailer so my family could enjoy the RV lifestyle,” McMillan said.

“I was later hired by Brad Campkin in 2011, and I’ve worked alongside Roland since he acquired the business in 2013. Both Brad and Roland invested in me over the years and played a major role in developing my knowledge of the RV industry,” McMillan added.

“The relationships, the reputation, and the culture of putting customers first are things I deeply respect. My goal is to build on that strong foundation, continue serving our community with the same integrity, and help even more families discover the freedom and adventure of RVing. I want Campkin’s to be known as a dealership run by RVers, for the RV community,” He said.

Customers can expect continuity in staffing and service, with the same team and customer-first approach that has defined the dealership for decades.

At the same time, McMillan plans to introduce new ideas and energy aimed at enhancing both the purchasing and ownership experience.

Goreski has expressed confidence in the transition, signaling his belief that the dealership will continue to thrive under McMillan’s leadership.

The ownership change represents more than a shift in leadership; it reflects a renewed commitment to innovation, service excellence and strengthening the RV community for years ahead.

This transition highlights the importance of strong independent dealerships in sustaining local RV markets, reinforcing consumer confidence and supporting long-term growth across the RV industry.
