Cabana Desolation Eco Resort is gearing up for the June Green Season in Desolation Sound, offering off-peak rates for outdoor enthusiasts.
Situated on an uninhabited island in Desolation Sound, Cabana Desolation Eco Resort provides a luxurious yet nature-immersive experience. The resort’s cabanas are handcrafted and designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment.

The resort has a maximum capacity of 10-12 guests, featuring four double-occupancy cabanas, each equipped with a queen bed, shower, and sink, ideal for couples, close friends, and families.
Additionally, two smaller cabanas with double beds, personal sinks, and showers cater to solo travelers. Three separate toilet structures are conveniently accessible along the boardwalk from the cabanas.

Other amenities include a cedar-enclosed hot water shower and the Cabana Cafe. The cafe, nestled among cedar and fir trees, creates an intimate and exclusive ambiance that guests immediately appreciate. On more relaxed afternoons, the propane fire pit adds warmth and comfort.

According to the resort, peak dates at Cabana Desolation are nearly full, but June still has some availability.
“We’re adding one final vacation camping tour to our schedule and extending our off-peak rates for select tours in June! Due to popular demand, we’re adding a 5-day camping tour from June 27 to July 1. Don’t miss out on our last peak season camping tour for this summer,” the resort stated in a Facebook post.
Another aspect of the resort is its commitment to sustainability. Inspired by Costa Rica’s eco-lodgings, the cabanas and other structures are handcrafted from locally milled Western Red cedar and Douglas fir.

Beyond its amenities, the resort offers guided sea kayak tours in Desolation Sound. Guests can learn from experienced guides about the area’s history, wildlife, and culture.
The resort’s approach to combining luxurious amenities with a nature-immersive experience offers valuable insights for future developments in the glamping industry. Providing handcrafted accommodations that blend seamlessly with the natural environment demonstrates how to deliver comfort without compromising eco-friendly principles.
Furthermore, extending off-peak rates and adding unique guided experiences, such as sea kayak tours, can attract guests and encourage repeat visits.
