Kilby Campground Opens Online Reservation Tomorrow

If you’re searching for a serene, family-friendly camping experience this summer, look no further than the Kilby Historic Site Campground in Harrison Mills, British Columbia (Canada).

As per a report from Fraser Valley Today, the campground, located at the confluence of the Harrison and Fraser rivers, has recently announced that it will begin accepting online reservations starting tomorrow, February 1, joining the B.C. Parks system and the Vedder River Campground in offering an easy and convenient booking experience.

“If you are dreaming of sunshine and warmer weather, consider booking a holiday at our campground! Our reservation system opens on February 1 at 9 AM, and the campground itself will be opening on March 1. This year we will have a four-month rolling window for reservations (which means you can book further in advance than previously). Also, there will be six first-come-first-serve camping sites!” Kilby Campground’s Facebook post indicated.

This 41-site campground, run by the Kilby Heritage Society, a non-profit community organization, offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern amenities.

Visitors can enjoy sandy beaches, nature trails, and a boat launch, all while exploring the nearby Kilby Historic Site, which features a museum, gift shop, cafe, and day-use area.

For those seeking a more spontaneous trip, the campground also features six first-come, first-served, non-reservable sites.

However, reservations can be made up to four months in advance of the desired dates for those who like to plan ahead, making it easy to secure your spot at this picturesque campground.

Whether you’re seeking a scenic escape with the family or a peaceful retreat, the Kilby Historic Site Campground offers a variety of camping and outdoor recreation opportunities.

So, mark your calendars and log onto www.kilby.ca/campground on February 1 to secure your reservation and embark on an unforgettable camping adventure.

It’s like the parable of the cautious and anxious campers. I’m nervous about the limited campsites at Kilby Historic Site Campground, especially during peak times. Acting fast to secure your reservation is crucial to avoid missing out on this serene and picturesque camping experience. Don’t let the opportunity slip away!
