Cumberland Lake Park Campground is preparing for the 2025 season with reservations for campsites and sleeping barrels set to open on March 3.
Week-long reservations for the park, located near Cumberland, British Columbia, will become available on February 14 at 10 a.m.
According to an article published by The Raven on February 7, the park’s sleeping barrels, introduced last year, were developed with support from the Province of BC and the Island Coastal Economic Trust. These accommodations include a queen-size mattress, heat pump, benches, a pull-out table, a mini-fridge, and a large window offering scenic views of the lake.
The early reservation window starting on February 14 is limited to stays outside of the peak summer season, which runs from June 16 to September 7.
Group site bookings are the only exception for this early window.
General reservations and summer camp registration officially launch on March 3 at 10 a.m., with high demand anticipated.
Campers can also secure their bookings online through the Cumberland Lake Park website. Guests are advised to have alternative dates and options in mind due to the popularity of the park.
The Lake Park Society, a non-profit organization managing the campground since 2015, emphasizes creating meaningful outdoor experiences.
The group aims to establish the park as a hub for inclusive outdoor adventure and community connection.
