BC Recreation and Parks Association Announces Parks Professional Pathways 2023

British Columbia (Canada) park owners, start your 2023 right with a learning opportunity that will benefit your team members!

BC Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA) recently announced the schedule of Parks Professional Pathways 2023, a BC-exclusive conference for parks professionals, including maintenance staff, planners, visionaries, change-makers, and decision-makers.

According to BCRPA, parks professional attendees from local governments and from the private sector look to this conference as the place to keep up-to-date with the latest best practices, technology, and trends to stay on the changing demands of the environments they work in.

In a LinkedIn post, BCRPA said the conference would be held on February 22 to 23 in Langley at the Coast Langley City Hotel and Convention Centre.

“#Parks2023 recognizes the incredible work of parks professionals while providing delegates the opportunity to learn about the latest in best practices, technology, and trends in the sector.” the post indicated.

The conference will also talk about mental health and climate change, among many other key park issues.

The 46th annual parks conference welcomes professionals, including parks directors, managers, supervisors and mid-managerial coordinators, parks designers and parks planners, and more.

According to its website, BCRPA has been providing leadership, training, and support since 1958, fostering the principles of accessibility and inclusiveness to help members meet provincial and local health and physical activity priorities that improve the quality of life of every British Columbian.

BCRPA works on inspiring and connecting professionals to build healthy and resilient communities through the power of recreation and parks.
