NRMA Parks and Resorts Launches Discount Campaign Amid Cost Pressures

NRMA Parks and Resorts has launched a promotional sale offering discounts of up to 40 percent on stays across its network of holiday parks and resorts in Australia, as the company responds to ongoing cost-of-living pressures influencing domestic travel behavior. The sale is available through May 11 and applies to bookings for stays between April 20 and August 31, 2026.

The campaign includes reduced rates on a range of accommodation types, including powered and unpowered caravan sites, cabins, and villas, across approximately 50 destinations.

Sample pricing provided by the company shows a two-night stay in a Pandanus Villa at NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort discounted from $672 to $470, representing a 30 percent reduction, while powered caravan sites at the same location are offered at $60, down from $100, reflecting a 40 percent discount.

Similar discounts are available at NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort, where powered caravan sites are reduced from $104 to $62, and a two-night stay in a Plantation Villa is discounted from $602 to $421.

The promotion comes at a time when domestic travelers are increasingly prioritizing shorter, regional trips over longer or international travel, often due to tighter household budgets and rising fuel costs. NRMA indicated that the offer is intended to support travelers seeking lower-cost holiday options closer to home.

In addition to accommodation discounts, My NRMA Rewards members are eligible for additional benefits, including flexible cancellation policies, fuel discounts of up to five cents per liter at participating Ampol Foodary locations, and further savings through partner offers that can reach up to 13 cents per liter.

Members can also access discounts on food and beverage outlets, in-park activities, and local experiences.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO Paul Davies said that affordability remains a key factor shaping travel decisions. “Taking a break with family and friends, even for just a few days, is really important for people, and at NRMA we want to help make that possible for more Australians,” said Mr. Davies.

“We know people are thinking carefully about what they spend right now, so this offer is about easing some of that pressure with practical savings on accommodation and travel and helping people enjoy a holiday that’s within reach.”

He added that shorter regional stays continue to appeal to travelers looking for value and convenience.

“Short breaks in great regional destinations still deliver the reset people are looking for, and when there are real savings on accommodation, there is more room in the budget for the parts of a holiday people really value, whether that’s dining out, enjoying local experiences or simply spending quality time together,” he said.

Mr. Davies also pointed to the role of digital tools in helping travelers manage expenses. “The My NRMA app gives travelers a simple way to check fuel prices in real time, compare nearby options and plan ahead before they fill up,” he said.

“That knowledge can make a genuine difference on the road. It helps people avoid overpaying, stay in control of their travel budget and save more to enjoy once they arrive at their holiday destination.”

For operators in the outdoor hospitality and caravan park sector, the promotion reflects broader market dynamics, including increased price sensitivity among travelers and a shift toward shorter booking windows and regional demand.

Discount-driven campaigns paired with loyalty programs and bundled savings may serve as a strategy to maintain occupancy levels during off-peak or shoulder seasons while encouraging ancillary spending on-site and within local communities.

Bookings can be made through the NRMA Parks and Resorts website or by phone.
