Outdoor Experiential Hospitality Pioneer to Launch an Ultra-Sustainable Retreat in Saudi Arabia

Collective Retreats, a pioneer in outdoor experiential hospitality, has announced a partnership with NEOM to launch a next-generation, ultra-sustainable retreat in Trojena, Saudi Arabia.

According to a press release, the retreat, Collective Trojena, will be located in the snow-capped mountain destination of northwestern Saudi Arabia, offering guests a spectacular experience of the region’s beauty.

The retreat will feature approximately 60 open-air guest rooms and innovative meeting space concepts. With dramatic water features, communal campfires, and inspired culinary experiences, Collective Trojena will showcase a blend of natural and developed landscapes that evokes the intrepid spirit of the Collective Retreats brand.

The Collective Trojena will provide access to a range of outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, high-altitude training, paragliding, mountain biking, hiking, and water sports.

In addition to outdoor activities, guests can also participate in culture-forward programming around film, art, music, and food. 

The project aims to redefine the outdoor hospitality experience by connecting travelers with nature and providing luxury travel that is sustainable.

Collective Retreats CEO and Founder Peter Mack stated that one of their goals is to change the way people travel and to help them see the world with renewed curiosity and a greater appreciation for the conservation of the extraordinary natural beauty that surrounds us.

Set within NEOM, Trojena is paving the way for the next frontier in sustainability by powering the mountain destination with a combination of solar and wind energy. The project will also utilize advanced technology in water desalination and brine processing to achieve zero waste residual, making it an exceptional example of sustainable tourism.
