The recently launched Glamping Sairme Gate in the village of Dapenili, Bagdati Municipality, is positioning itself as a notable addition to Georgia’s tourism offerings.
Situated near the Sairme Gorge, the facility began operations following an investment of GEL 100,000.
Giorgi Chachua, the founder, has expressed a vision for the development, highlighting its current features and future potential.
Currently, the facility consists of one glamping unit capable of accommodating four guests. Plans are underway to expand with three additional units, which have already received local government approval.
“At this stage, one glamping can accommodate 4 people. In the future, we plan to add three more glamping sites,” Chachua told Business Media.
Located on a mountainside near a river, Glamping Sairme Gate leverages its scenic surroundings to attract both local and international visitors.
Chachua revealed that the facility has already hosted tourists from France, among other European countries, and has maintained a 30% occupancy rate in its first month.
Reservations for February are already in place, suggesting growing interest in the destination.
For the outdoor hospitality industry, the project’s integration of smart home technology could serve as an example of innovation in the glamping sector.
The facility features automated door and lighting systems, enhancing convenience and efficiency. “Our tourist facility is sophisticated and has ‘smart’ technologies,” noted Chachua.
While the glamping currently lacks onsite dining options, the founder aims to establish partnerships with nearby catering services by spring, which could enhance the guest experience and local collaboration.
Chachua also envisions further development, transforming Sairme Gate into a larger tourist complex.
