Savannah Lakes RV Resort has received Gold for Best Pet-Friendly Lodging and Silver for Best Campground in the 2026 LowCountry’s Best awards, marking the second consecutive year for the pet-friendly honor and the third consecutive year for the campground recognition.
The awards recognize the resort through the annual LowCountry’s Best program, which honors businesses, attractions, services and destinations in the region based on community voting.
“Being recognized year after year by the Lowcountry community means so much to our entire team,” Carolee Evans, general manager of Savannah Lakes RV Resort, said in a press release.
“Earning Gold for pet-friendly lodging for a second year and Silver for Best Campground for a third year tells us that the experience we work hard to create is resonating with our guests,” Evans added.
Savannah Lakes’ pet-focused facilities include a 5,000-square-foot K9 Corner, along with walking trails and pet-friendly accommodations. The features are intended to accommodate travelers visiting the Lowcountry with their pets.
The Best Campground award covers the resort’s broader accommodations and amenities. Savannah Lakes has more than 300 full-hookup RV sites and 15 furnished cottages, along with a heated swimming pool, splash pad, 12-person hot tub, pickleball courts, a 24-hour fitness center, fiber Wi-Fi, game room, clubhouse and walking trails.
The resort is located in Hardeeville between Savannah, Georgia, and Hilton Head Island. Its facilities also include lakeside surroundings and pet-friendly features for overnight stays, extended stays and Lowcountry vacations.
The 2026 recognition follows Savannah Lakes’ previous awards in both categories, with the Gold honor representing its second consecutive year as Best Pet-Friendly Lodging and the Silver honor marking its third consecutive year as Best Campground.
“These awards are a reflection of our entire team and the care they put into the guest experience every day,” Evans said. “We’re proud to represent Hardeeville and the Lowcountry, and we’re excited to keep building on what makes Savannah Lakes such a special place to stay.”
