Jayco’s Technical Service Team has opened registration for upcoming Technical Service School sessions, offering RV technicians hands-on training on current products, repairs and RV components from Jayco and industry suppliers.
The training is designed for technicians working on Jayco and other brands within the company’s portfolio, with sessions scheduled in Indiana, California and Arizona from October through December.
The courses provide classroom instruction, hands-on experiences and opportunities to ask technical questions about components and systems technicians encounter in their work.
The three-day program includes training from suppliers including Lippert, Dexter Axle, Dometic, BMPro and Norco/BAL, along with Jayco technicians. The sessions cover current products being installed in RVs and provide instruction on repairing both specialized and common products.
Technicians attending the school also receive opportunities to establish contacts with Jayco and supplier representatives for future technical questions and network with other technicians. Classroom time can also count toward technicians’ re-certification requirements.
According to a News and Insights report of RVIA, the first scheduled session will take place Oct. 5–7 in Middlebury, Indiana, for Jayco Motorized and Entegra Coach technicians. A second session is scheduled for Oct. 13–15 in Sacramento, California, for technicians working with Jayco, Open Range, Heartland and Starcraft.
Two additional sessions are scheduled in Middlebury. The first runs Nov. 3–6 for Jayco, Open Range, Heartland and Starcraft technicians, followed by another session Nov. 10–13 for the same technician groups.
The final listed session is scheduled for Dec. 8–10 in Glendale, Arizona, for Jayco, Open Range, Heartland and Starcraft technicians.
The training provides technicians with instruction focused on products and systems they encounter in their daily work while combining classroom sessions with hands-on learning and access to technical personnel from Jayco and participating suppliers.
