The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada has launched a year-long campaign marking its 40th anniversary, introducing a national Member Legacy Project and a series of initiatives designed to highlight the association’s history and the contributions of RV dealerships across Canada.
Founded in 1986, the association said the anniversary campaign is built around three objectives: demonstrating the value it provides to dealerships, creating a unified national narrative for the organization, and giving members an opportunity to showcase their longevity and impact within their local communities.
As part of the campaign, RVDA of Canada is inviting members and industry partners to submit historical photographs, business milestones and stories about their community involvement for inclusion in an official 40th Anniversary Storybook.
The submissions will also be featured in a commemorative video scheduled to premiere during the RV Dealers Convention/Expo in Las Vegas in November.
According to a press release, Ken Dobson, chairman of RVDA of Canada, said the milestone reflects the association’s long-standing collaboration with independent RV dealers across the country.
“If four decades in the RV business have taught us anything, it’s that hitching up and travelling together gets you a lot further than trying to go solo,” Dobson said. “Our association has thrived because independent dealers know you don’t make a long haul like this alone.”
“Over the past four decades, our members have built thriving local businesses that anchor their communities. This 40th anniversary isn’t just a look in the rearview mirror—it’s a celebration of the dealers who keep driving us forward,” Dobson added.
In addition to the legacy project, the association has released a 40th Anniversary Media Kit for members. According to RVDA of Canada, the kit includes a high-resolution anniversary logo, digital achievement badges, social media graphics and customizable promotional templates that dealerships can use as part of the celebration.
Eleonore Hamm, president of RVDA of Canada, said the campaign is intended to recognize the association’s history while providing members with tools to highlight their businesses.
“For 40 years, the RVDA of Canada has worked continuously behind the scenes to advocate for dealers, strengthen business operations, and safeguard the RV lifestyle,” Hamm said. “Our 40th-anniversary campaign provides members with a national platform and turnkey tools to highlight their local impact. As we honour four decades of progress, we remain focused on supporting dealership growth and promoting the Canadian outdoor experience for generations to come.”
RVDA of Canada is a national federation of provincial and regional RV dealer associations representing retail businesses involved in the recreation vehicle industry.
