Four members of Mid Wales Tourism have been named among the UK’s Top 150 Outstanding Sites for 2026, an annual selection by Campsites.co.uk recognizing camping, glamping, and touring destinations that have consistently received strong guest feedback.
The recognition highlights Woodlands Caravan Park near Devils Bridge, Nyth Robin near Aberdyfi, Meadow Springs Country and Leisure Park near Caersws, and Spring Rock Holidays near Llandrindod Wells. All four businesses are members of Mid Wales Tourism, an independent organization representing tourism and hospitality businesses across Powys, Ceredigion, and Meirionnydd.
According to Campsites.co.uk, the 2026 Outstanding Sites list is compiled from a hand-picked selection of camping, glamping, and touring properties that have demonstrated consistently high standards through guest reviews. The list includes a range of accommodation types, from traditional campsites and touring parks to glamping properties and family-oriented holiday parks.
Woodlands Caravan Park, which received a guest rating of 4.9 out of five, is located near Devils Bridge Waterfalls and the surrounding nature trail in Ceredigion. The family-operated park offers 20 grass pitches, 20 hardstanding pitches, a heated camping pod, and privately owned holiday homes. The business also received a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award this year.
Georgina Hewitt, a park director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be named among the Campsites.co.uk Top 150 Outstanding Sites. It’s a wonderful recognition of the hard work our team puts in and of everything Devil’s Bridge and the wider Mid Wales area have to offer visitors.
“We are proud to be flying the flag for Mid Wales Tourism alongside three fellow members.”
Nyth Robin, located near the Dyfi Estuary at the southern edge of Eryri National Park, earned a 4.92 guest rating. The site offers nine touring pitches alongside a variety of glamping accommodations, including a bell tent, handcrafted yurt, converted horse lorry, geodome, woodland cabin, and vintage caravan.
A spokesperson for the site told News From Wales: “We are delighted to be named an Outstanding Site for 2026 for a second year running, especially as there are so many fantastic sites across the UK.
“These Outstanding Sites have been selected based on our guests’ reviews, so we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has stayed with us and taken the time to share their experience.
“Their feedback inspires us to keep improving and to ensure every guest enjoys a memorable stay, whether they’re glamping or staying on one of our touring pitches.”
Meadow Springs Country and Leisure Park received a 4.91 rating.
Located in the Trannon Valley, the park offers fully serviced hardstanding pitches designed for touring caravans and most motorhomes, as well as an onsite restaurant and sports bar. The park was previously named Best Caravan Park in Wales at the Visit Wales National Tourism Awards.
Clive Bowen, the park’s services manager, said: “This award is very important to us as it’s based on consistently great guest feedback and we thank all our guests for taking the time to highly rate our park and its superb facilities.
“This hand-picked list, makes it easy for visitors to discover reliably great sites like ours.”
Spring Rock Holidays, which received a 4.85 rating, is an adults-only property offering four electric hardstanding pitches for motorhomes and touring caravans, along with a glamping pod and a lodge for couples. Located beneath Llandegley Rocks near the Elan Valley, the site caters to guests seeking outdoor recreation and nature-based experiences.
Andrew Griffiths, from Llandegley Rocks, said: “I am extremely pleased to come so high up in a top 150 UK sites and second best in Wales. It’s quite an achievement from what was once nothing more than a pipedream, met continually with negativity.
“Proof of the age old statement you can achieve anything if you put your mind, focus and determination into it! I’ve still quite a bit to do here to improve the site along with one little secret project that certainly will gain a lot of attention and be an asset to us and our local area.”
For campground, holiday park, caravan park, RV park, and glamping operators, rankings based on verified guest reviews continue to demonstrate the growing importance of maintaining service quality and the overall visitor experience.
Recognition programs such as the 2026 Outstanding Sites list can strengthen a property’s visibility in a competitive marketplace, while consistently positive guest feedback may support direct bookings, repeat visitation, and marketing efforts.
As travelers increasingly compare destinations using online reviews before making reservations, operators may benefit from regularly monitoring guest feedback and investing in facility improvements that align with visitor expectations throughout the season.
