EarthCruiser has partnered with Overland Van Project to launch the EarthCruiser Basecamp BSC, a specialized vehicle built on the company’s established CORE platform.
The new model integrates the refined chassis mechanics of EarthCruiser with the functional interior living space design expertise of Overland Van Project.
The platform was specifically developed to fill a distinct market gap that has persisted between compact adventure vans and massive expedition trucks.
Industry professionals note that many travelers find traditional vans too restrictive and large trucks too unwieldy, making this mid-sized alternative a strategic addition to the market.
Unlike many traditional camper-body designs, the vehicle features a dual-cab configuration equipped with forward-facing rear seating and full vehicle doors.
This design approach allows the vehicle to carry multiple passengers safely and properly during off-grid transit.
The multi-purpose layout creates new possibilities for retail consumers looking to travel with family and friends.
It also provides a viable solution for commercial operators interested in expanding rental fleets, supporting remote work crews, or running guided outdoor tours.
The Basecamp BSC base model pricing starts at $450,000. To support the initial product rollout, the first three customers will receive the complete brand delivery experience.
This package includes a two-night overland orientation trip hosted by EarthCruiser creators Lance and Michelle.
The company noted the trip is designed to foster community, stating that after nearly 20 years of building vehicles, they have learned some of the best conversations happen around a campfire.
This collaboration underscores a growing commercial demand for highly capable, niche overland platforms that bridge the gap between utility and luxury.
