Jayco has officially completed the construction of a consolidated sales facility on its Middlebury campus.
The newly built complex brings together the corporate sales departments for all the manufacturer’s diverse brands under a single roof.
According to an article by The Elkhart Truth, Ind., the construction on the nearly 20,000-square-foot building began on Oct. 6 and wrapped up on May 4.
Prior to this completion, the company’s various representatives were scattered across different parts of the Middlebury campus and in surrounding municipalities.
Teams from Jayco towables, Jayco motorized, Entegra Coach, Heartland RV, and Open Range RV will now operate from the unified location.
Nic Martin, vice president of sales for the Jayco Family of Companies, highlighted the strategic value of the operational move.
“It’s been a point of emphasis in recent years to unify our sales teams to operate more like one and we’ve realized many benefits in doing so. The new Sales Center will allow us to take that effort to the next level,” Martin said.
He further emphasized the impact on external relationships, adding, “This new facility will not only allow us to collaborate internally more successfully, but also with our dealer partners whether they’re visiting Middlebury in-person or connecting with our team virtually.”
The expansive new center includes 24 private offices, 40 cubicles, two dedicated conference rooms, and a collaborative war room.
To support staff needs, the layout also features a 1,600-square-foot cantina-style breakroom, a 500-square-foot kitchenette, and a 70-person training room spanning 1,850 square feet.
Interior styling incorporates modern furnishings, brand-specific color palettes, corporate historical timelines, artifacts, and lifestyle imagery featuring the company’s RVs.
To maximize privacy and minimize workplace disruptions in the open areas, the building is outfitted with specialized white noise acoustics.
Ken Walters, CEO of the Jayco-Tiffin Group, noted the significance of the project’s completion for the business, which was originally founded in 1968 and also builds products in Twin Falls, Idaho.
“This consolidated facility has been a vision for several years now and it is great to see it become a reality,” Walters said. “Bringing these strong teams together in this collaborative space will allow them to operate at an even higher level. Our facilities team did a great job making this come to life.”
For the recreational vehicle industry, this investment in corporate infrastructure demonstrates how leading manufacturers are actively centralizing their internal operations to better support their dealer networks.
