The American Glamping Association (AGA) will host a session titled “Your Land Is Gold: How to Turn Raw or Residential Property Into a Revenue-Producing Glamping Operation” on April 22, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time.
The session is positioned around strategies for landowners seeking to convert raw or residential property into glamping operations, focusing on compliance-first development approaches designed to reduce regulatory risk and support long-term profitability.
Chris Jeub, owner of Monument Glamping in Monument, Colorado, will lead the session. Jeub and his wife, Wendy Jeub, have expanded a backyard experiment into a compliant and rapidly growing glamping operation that currently features eight units, with additional expansion planned.
“In this session, Chris will walk attendees through the exact process he used to build Monument Glamping within suburban town boundaries—a path shaped by zoning hearings, regulatory curveballs, and inventive problem-solving,” the announcement indicates.
According to the announcement, Jeub’s development process unfolded within suburban town boundaries and required navigation of zoning hearings, permitting requirements, and regulatory challenges that shaped the structure of the operation.
The experience led Jeub to develop an educational platform, “Your Land Is Gold,” through which he teaches landowners how to evaluate property for development potential, avoid legal pitfalls, collaborate with local government officials, and structure phased development strategies.
During the session, Jeub will outline the step-by-step process used to establish Monument Glamping, including compliance considerations and operational decision-making that supported its growth trajectory.
Attendees are expected to receive a structured roadmap for developing glamping operations intended to reduce delays, manage costs, and improve regulatory alignment, according to the announcement.
The AGA announcement frames the session as part of broader programming focused on operational education for landowners and prospective operators seeking structured approaches to entering the glamping sector.
