Bamba Travel, an adventure and experiential trekking company, has announced the launch of Incachiriasqa, a high-altitude trekking experience set to debut in April 2026. The new venture combines elements of Andean cultural heritage with accommodations designed for comfort, including stone houses and glamping domes at the base of Salkantay Mountain in Peru.
The name Incachiriasqa, derived from Quechua, translates to “the place chosen by the Incas” or “blessed by the Incas,” reflecting the region’s historical significance and the ancient pathways used by explorers over centuries.
The camp is located in Soraypampa at an elevation of 3,900 meters, under the 6,271-meter Salkantay peak. Bamba Travel has completed construction of inca-inspired stone houses using traditional architectural techniques, alongside panoramic glamping domes designed to provide unobstructed views of the Salkantay mountain range.
“Incachiriasqa reflects the spirit of exploration that defines Bamba,” said Paul Sarfati, CEO of Bamba Travel. “By combining authentic Andean architecture with modern glamping, we are offering travelers a way to experience the raw beauty of the Salkantay route while staying deeply connected to the history of the land.”
In conjunction with the camp opening, Bamba Travel is offering the Incachiriasqa Salkantay & Inca Trail 5D/4N Experience, which merges the Salkantay route and the classic Inca Trail into a single itinerary.
The five-day journey begins with three days of trekking along high-altitude glacial lakes and mountain valleys, with overnight stays at the Incachiriasqa camp. It continues with a night in Ollantaytambo, allowing trekkers to explore the historic town before concluding with two days on the original Inca Trail through cloud forests, culminating at Machu Picchu’s Sun Gate.
Bookings for the experience are currently open, with the first groups scheduled to arrive in April 2026, according to a press release.
For professionals in the outdoor hospitality and adventure travel industry, the launch of Incachiriasqa demonstrates the integration of cultural heritage with modern high-end trekking accommodations, highlighting opportunities for operators to enhance experiential offerings and differentiate high-altitude tourism packages.
Bamba Travel functions as a B2B adventure travel platform and virtual Destination Management Company, supporting travel professionals with curated suppliers and proprietary booking technology for small group and tailor-made experiences across Latin America and other destinations.
