South West Motorhome and Campervan Show to Return to Shepton Mallet in September

A major motorhome and campervan exhibition is preparing to make its return to Shepton Mallet later this year, bringing hundreds of vehicles and a packed programme of activities to Somerset.

The South West Motorhome and Campervan Show will be held at the Bath & West Showground from Friday, September 11 to Sunday, September 13. Gates will open at 9.30am on each of the three days according to an article by Somerset County Gazette.

Advance tickets are currently available for £10 through the Out & About Live website, while admission at the gate will be priced at £15. Organizers have confirmed that entry will be free for attendees under 18.

The announcement comes as new data points to Somerset’s strong culture of walking and outdoor activity. According to organizers, the region continues to stand out for its high level of participation in outdoor recreation.

Sally Dodds, head of events at Out & About Live, said: “Somerset continues to buck the national trend.

“While walking rates across the UK are slipping, people here are staying active, exploring their countryside and keeping connected to the outdoors.

“That enthusiasm for outdoor living is exactly what our shows champion and why Somerset remains one of the strongest regions for outdoor leisure participation.”

This year’s event will feature more than 250 vehicles for sale, giving visitors the opportunity to explore a wide selection of motorhomes and campervans in one location.

The show will also include expert talks, an extensive accessories showcase, and free motorhome maneuvering taster sessions designed to help drivers build confidence behind the wheel.

The maneuvering sessions do not require advance booking and are open to attendees aged 25 and older who hold a full UK driver’s license.

In addition, the event will offer live cooking demonstrations, wellness classes, and four nights of entertainment for campers staying onsite, creating a lively weekend atmosphere.

By combining vehicle sales, hands-on driving experiences, and lifestyle programming, the event underscores continued consumer interest in motorhomes and campervans, highlighting the sustained momentum within the RV industry.
