Go RVing Promotes Affordable, Flexible RV Travel to National Media at TravMedia IMM

Go RVing used TravMedia International Media Marketplace in New York City to position RV travel as an affordable, flexible and experiential way to explore the United States, meeting with more than 40 travel journalists and editors as part of a broader effort to drive long-term consumer awareness and demand across the RV industry.

The outreach took place during TravMedia’s International Media Marketplace, an invite-only global networking event that connects travel journalists with destinations and travel brands to pitch story ideas, build relationships and influence future coverage.

Go RVing’s participation focused on aligning RV travel with evolving media priorities and consumer interest in domestic travel.

Go RVing emphasized several key story themes, including trip affordability, travel flexibility, pet-friendly travel and content designed to address perceived barriers to RV ownership.

Additional topics included RV-2-50, the program’s initiative aimed at introducing new audiences to RVing, and the new Travel Passport, which is intended to encourage exploration through curated travel experiences.

According to a News and Insights report of RVIA on January 27, Go RVing met with outlets spanning broadcast, print and digital media, including AARP, CBS, The Boston Globe, Fodor’s, The New York Times, Fast Company, PBS, Good Housekeeping and Travel + Leisure, among others.

The media conversations also reflected a growing emphasis on domestic travel tied to major upcoming cultural milestones. Travel journalists are actively prioritizing stories connected to America’s 250th anniversary, the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and the FIFA World Cup, creating opportunities to integrate RV travel into broader national narratives about mobility, culture and exploration.

For Go RVing, the event offered a platform to reinforce RV travel as a flexible option well-suited to multi-stop itineraries, extended road trips and experiential travel trends.

Go RVing serves as the consumer-facing voice of the RV industry, with a mission to inspire potential RVers and increase awareness of RV travel through storytelling and educational resources.

The program focuses on showcasing real RVers, providing guidance for first-time travelers and highlighting experiences that align with existing interests, from outdoor recreation to family travel.
