Connor Battlefield Campground (Wyoming) has reopened following its closure due to flooding.
According to Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites, and Trails website, the campground temporarily closed due to rising water concerns from the Tongue River in northern Wyoming.
Connor Battlefield Campground has 20 camping and picnic sites nestled in an oxbow of the Tongue River in the shade of large cottonwoods.
The campground has two restrooms, a playground, and horseshoe pits. Each camping and picnic site has a grill and table, and two sites are ADA accessible.
Connor offers tranquil and peaceful camping, away from the hustle of the road in the peaceful shade of a river bottom.
Community facilities are accessible from a few blocks.
Connor Battlefield Campground sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
The campground is expected to remain open through October 31, weather permitting.
