Discover Adventure at Apostle Islands Campground

Nestled in the picturesque town of Bayfield, Wisconsin, the Apostle Islands Area Campground has become a beacon for campers seeking a unique experience.

Owned and operated by Zach and Jennifer Krivoshein, this campground has undergone a transformative journey, offering amenities that set it apart from the rest.

The Krivosheins’ passion for Bayfield led them to purchase and revamp the campground, introducing standout features like a pirate ship beside a swimming pond.

“Our family shares a love for camping and the outdoors.  In June of 2017, we  made a decision that would change our lives…we decided that we wanted to follow our dreams and buy a campground!  We couldn’t be happier that the campground of choice for us was Apostle Islands Area Campground!” the website indicated.

Their dedication to enhancing the camping experience is evident in every corner of the 63 wooded sites, complete with fire-pits and picnic tables.

Beyond the basics, campgrounds worldwide are recognizing the importance of modern amenities. A survey by Hipcamp revealed that campers prioritize fire rings, drinking water, sanitation stations, pet-friendly sites, and clear signage. These amenities not only enhance the camping experience but also foster a sense of community.

Apostle Islands Area Campground has embraced this trend, offering a camp store stocked with essentials, proximity to the Madeline Island Ferry, and WiFi throughout most of the campground. Their commitment to modernization aligns with the broader industry’s push for updated amenities.

The Apostle Islands Area Campground isn’t just a place to pitch a tent; it’s a gateway to a world of adventure.

The lake, renowned for its world-class fishing, beckons anglers from all corners of the globe, promising a catch that becomes the stuff of legends.

But the allure doesn’t stop at fishing. The shimmering waters hide a myriad of sea caves, waiting to be explored by intrepid boaters, while the surrounding landscapes offer a paradise for mountain biking, climbing, and hiking enthusiasts.

The campground’s prime location serves as the perfect launchpad to the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, a pristine haven that showcases nature’s artistry in its purest form. The Meyers Beach Sea Caves, with their intricate patterns sculpted by time, are a sight to behold and a favorite among visitors. The Chequamegon National Forest, with its dense canopy and diverse wildlife, offers a serene escape for those looking to reconnect with nature. Every trail, every waterway, every vista point in the vicinity whispers tales of the land’s rich heritage and timeless beauty.

The Apostle Islands Area Campground’s expansion and the broader push for modernization in the camping industry reflect the evolving needs and expectations of campers.

As campgrounds adapt and innovate, they promise richer, more fulfilling experiences for all who seek the joys of the great outdoors.
