Wild Energy and Metron announced a strategic partnership on March 10 to deliver an integrated electric and water metering and management platform designed to help property owners monitor and manage utility consumption through a single dashboard.
The partnership integrates Metron’s cellular water management systems with Wild Energy’s utility management platform, allowing operators to track electricity and water usage in one system using real-time data.
The combined platform aims to help property owners reduce resource waste, recover utility costs, and improve infrastructure decision-making.
According to a press release, Mike Sorensen, founder and CEO of Wild Energy, said customers had requested a water metering capability that connects directly with the company’s existing electric metering platform.
“At its core, this partnership is about delivering the strongest electric and water metering solution on the market,” Sorensen said in a press release.
“Our customers have been asking for a robust water metering solution that integrates directly with the Wild Energy platform. We chose to partner with Metron because their technology is proven at scale and enables simplified installation, reliable performance, and long-term operational efficiency,” Sorensen added.
Wild Energy’s platform currently integrates with property management systems and automates functions including usage reporting, guest transparency, and operational workflows.
With the addition of Metron’s water metering technology, operators can deploy a single system to manage multiple utilities rather than using separate vendors or software tools.
Carolyn Parent, president and CEO of Metron, said the partnership builds on the company’s experience developing water management technologies.
“With nearly 35 years of water management experience, engineering some of the most robust meters and software tools available to the market, Metron’s one minute water data and scalable products fit perfectly with Wild Energy to provide a unified view of water and electricity usage,” Parent said.
“The partnership will enable both companies to better serve existing customers as well as more fully penetrate new markets that need a more wholistic view of utility usage,” Parent added.
The integrated platform will support multiple sectors, including RV parks and campgrounds, marinas, manufactured housing communities, municipalities, commercial and residential real estate, and industrial and oil and gas operations.
As part of the partnership, Metron water meters will be available for purchase directly through Wild Energy, creating a single point of contact for customers seeking utility metering services.
