The Exclusive West Virginia RV Show, hosted by Mountaineer RV & Outdoor Center, is gearing up for its second annual event, set to take place from February 7-9.
Boasting over 45,000 square feet of RVs, vendors, and activities, this show has quickly established itself as the largest RV event in the state. In an exclusive interview with Modern Campground, Marketing Director Emma Starett shared insights into the growth, appeal, and unique elements of this event.
A Growing Legacy in West Virginia
Mountaineer RV & Outdoor Center, the event’s organizer, has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2018 as a small family-run dealership in Weston, West Virginia.

“We started small but quickly outgrew our first facility,” Starett told Modern Campground. In 2021, the company moved to a larger showroom, and they opened a second location near the New River Gorge Bridge, surrounded by 600 campsites.
This rapid growth culminated in Mountaineer RV & Outdoor Center being recognized as West Virginia’s #1 RV dealer and one of the top 50 RV dealers.

Building on this success, the team launched the inaugural Exclusive West Virginia RV Show in 2024, drawing 3,500 attendees despite challenging winter conditions.
Highlights of the 2025 Show
For its second year, the event promises to be bigger and better. Attendees can explore a diverse range of RVs, from teardrop trailers to luxurious Class A motorhomes. Each RV will feature special show pricing, with on-site financing available.
In addition, over 30 local vendors will showcase handcrafted goods, services, and food, including West Virginia favorites like pepperoni rolls from Zul’s and barbecue from Daddy T’s Smoking Barbecue.

“We believe that this 2025 show making it better that it is with different efforts and different ideas a refresh to our show. We believe that this show is going to be a lot better. We have many more vendors. We have a hard selection of RVs. We have show pricing on every single RV at the show. financing on-site,” she said.
Additionally, the event will feature a popular show RV There Yet? The hosts will conduct free seminars, offering insights into the RV lifestyle.

According to its website, the RV lineup includes Thor Motor Coach, Primetime Tracer Ultra Lite, Keystone RV Company, Encore Recreational Vehicles, Forest River, and StarCraft Super Lite.
The show will also feature a mobile version of the state’s largest RV parts department and manufacturer representatives available to answer questions. Unique to this year’s event is a Sunday church service at 9 a.m., open to all attendees.
The vendor section will showcase an exciting lineup, including Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse Campground, a scenic destination in Summersville, WV, and Mountain Lake Campground & Cabins, offering lakeside and outdoor adventure experiences in West Virginia.
WV State Parks will also showcase the “Almost Heaven” theme along with the WV State Parks Gift Shop. Shandi Designs LLC specializes in campground décor and signs, while Gwynn Outdoor Living presents Amish-built outdoor furniture.
Family Values at the Core
What sets the Exclusive West Virginia RV Show apart is its deep connection to family values. “We’re still a family-owned business,” Starett emphasized. “My parents work six days a week, my grandmother is involved, and our whole family participates in the show. When you shop with us, you’re not just a customer; you’re family.”

This familial approach extends to the event itself, which caters to attendees of all ages. Families can enjoy play areas for children, while even pets are welcome. “Last year, we had visitors bring their dogs, and it was great to see them included in the experience,” said Starett.
Attendees also have the unique opportunity to shop directly with the owners—individuals who truly embody the camping lifestyle, having lived and embraced it throughout their lives. “People who have turned their passion into a dream now strive to help other families embrace the camping lifestyle,” she noted.
Drawing a Diverse Crowd
The show’s appeal reaches beyond state borders, attracting attendees from Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and beyond. Its central location near Morgantown and West Virginia University ensures accessibility for a wide demographic.
“We see everyone from retired couples looking for their next adventure to young families just starting their RV journeys,” Starett explained. “There really is something for everyone, whether it’s a compact travel trailer or a luxurious motorhome.”
Looking to the Future
As the event continues to grow, the team at Mountaineer RV has big plans. “Our goal is to bring what we offer through the Exclusive RV Show to even more customers,” said Starett. “We would like to expand it as well into the other half of the building. But for right now, we are finding out what works best for us and what works best for the customers, and doing it better than we did last year.”
For now, the focus remains on making the 2025 show a success. Early bird tickets are already on sale, offering discounted rates until the event begins.
