Things will look different this year for suppliers attending the 2022 Annual Fall/Winter Meeting and Winterfest of the Virginia Campground Association (VCA) scheduled for December in Doswell.
In an email sent Tuesday, the trade association encouraged suppliers to attend the meetings and socials scheduled for the annual event.
“We invite your input and perspective into various aspects of the camping industry to enhance the learning experience for our members,” VCA wrote.
Attending suppliers will be allowed to set up an exhibit, while also having the opportunity to introduce themselves, share about their products or services, and distribute informational resources to members.
Despite having delivered the VCA Meeting’s educational sessions virtually in March due to the event’s cancellation, the association is preparing more informative sessions and cracker barrels for the fall meeting.
The 2022 VCA Meeting was originally scheduled for March 28 through 30 at the Meadow Event Park in Doswell, Virginia. However, schedule conflicts ultimately led to the event’s postponement.
“Due to conflicting schedules, the VCA board has chosen to postpone the 2022 in-person annual meeting to the fall,” the state association announced in a member email sent back in March.
Fast forward to this season, the association is brewing exciting sessions as the event is bound to continue.
While VCA is currently taking suggestions for breakout sessions and is accepting donations for the silent auction, it has announced a preliminary schedule for the three-day event.
On Friday night, December 2, a board of directors meeting will be held followed by a social gathering for all participants.
The next day will be the annual general meeting followed by a series of cracker barrel discussions where suppliers can network with attendees. The silent auction will also be held that day, and the Winterfest at Kings Dominion Amusement Park near the venue will cap the night off.
A social breakfast will be held on the last day, December 4—the day awards will be presented.
“We hope you will be able to join us as the VCA kicks off the holiday season this December,” the association said.
