Nine Mile RV Resort, a newly opened RV resort managed by Dwell Outdoor Hospitality, offers convenience and comfort like no other for RVers in need of a pitstop in the middle of the Utah desert. But this desert oasis isn’t just a stopover; it also features amenities and sites for those looking to stay longer.
Positioned on Highway 6, the RV resort serves as the perfect midpoint between Salt Lake City and Moab, Utah. This location makes it an ideal pitstop for travelers heading to the national parks in the region while offering spacious sites and access to outdoor activities.
In an exclusive email interview with Modern Campground, McKay Quinn, owner of Dwell Outdoor Hospitality and Nine Mile RV Resort, highlighted the property’s offerings and what sets it apart in the industry.
“We decided to build a resort that is a step above any other offering in the market, so we’ve included a pool and hot tub, which are open year-round. This helps retain long-term guests in the colder winter months. We’ve designed the park with designated sections for long-term guests, which have metered electricity, and short-term guests with easy in-and-out access,” Quinn said.
Situated about 1.5 hours from both Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, the resort provides easy access for guests planning day trips to these popular destinations.
The resort also offers several amenities to ensure a comfortable and convenient stay for all guests. These include a laundry facility, a general store, and a dedicated pet park. Additionally, the resort provides an RV dump station and offers various RV storage options, accommodating both smaller and larger vehicles with competitive pricing.
Nine Mile RV Resort plans to introduce a pickleball court by summer, adding to its list of recreational offerings and further enhancing the guest experience.
With a focus on convenience, Nine Mile RV Resort also streamlines the guest experience by offering online booking and self-check-in options.
“We offer self-check-in for guests so they can book online, pay online, and check-in online. They never have to come into the office. If they need to, we have support in the office and a general store with common RV supplies and equipment,” Quinn told Modern Campground.
In terms of infrastructure, according to Quinn, Nine Mile RV Resort chose practicality by using a road base for the drives and sites, topped with crushed stone, to alleviate mud issues in the wetter months. This decision promotes better accessibility for guests throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions.
With an eye toward future growth, the resort has additional land entitled to the development of 50 new sites, which would increase the total to 139 sites. The demand from the market is what is driving this expansion, which includes ideas for introducing new amenities and expanding the range of options available to visitors.
“We are always listening to our guests and making operational adjustments along the way,” Quinn said.
