Campground Association of Management Professionals to Hold Spring Meeting in Charleston, SC

After conducting virtual meetings and holding off in-person gatherings, members of the Campground Association of Management Professionals (CAMP) are finally meeting face-to-face as the group hosts its spring meeting in Charleston, South Carolina on May 10-11.

“Getting back to face-to-face meetings and conferences was so important for us to connect on a variety of levels,” noted CAMP President Joann DelVescio in a press release. “CAMP met via Zoom, and while it was a great way to stay connected, nothing can replace sharing information and ideas in person.”

CAMP will take place at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Charleston and reservations can be made directly through the hotel by clicking here.

The meeting will include attendees from state associations around the country. It will feature discussion topics concerning legislative efforts, marketing, working with corporates, and feasibility of state campground owner shows vs. regional/national on day one.

Day two topics surround member benefit programs, public relations efforts, supplier/vendor database and providing them more value, as well as a preview of 2022 for state associations. Michael Moore and Lori Severson will also give an update on the RV Industry Association’s (RVIA) Task Force.

Registration for both days is $50. To register, email Joann DelVescio at [email protected] or call her at 609-545-0145.

The association also debuted www.CampgroundExecutives.com, a new website to represent the group. The site will act as a resource for campground association executives around the country and will provide a section of the relevant legislation pertaining to campgrounds.

CAMP was formed in 1977 when several state campground and RV park association executives got together and formalized their meetings held in conjunction with the annual ARVC convention. It is the nation’s only association specifically designed for campground association management executives.
