RVDA, Accelerate2Compliance to Host April 9 Webinar on Data Privacy

The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), in partnership with Accelerate2Compliance (A2C), will host a webinar on April 9 focused on how RV dealerships can use data privacy compliance to drive business performance.

The session, titled “From Risk to Revenue: Leveraging Data Privacy Compliance,” is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Eastern and will run for 30 minutes, according to an announcement.

The webinar will address how expanding state privacy laws and increasing enforcement activity are changing the operational landscape for RV dealers, particularly in how they manage consumer data.

Dealerships face growing exposure across digital systems, including websites, lead forms, chat tools, advertising platforms, and integrations with original equipment manufacturers, the announcement said.

The session aims to help dealers identify these risks and understand how data governance can shift from a compliance obligation to a strategic advantage.

Phil Ingrassia, president of RVDA, said the initiative is intended to help dealers navigate a more complex digital environment.

“Dealers are operating in a much more complex digital environment than even a few years ago,” Ingrassia said. “This webinar is about helping our members understand where their exposure exists and how they can turn smart data practices into a business advantage—not just a compliance exercise.”

The webinar will also examine how stronger data privacy practices can influence marketing outcomes and customer relationships. Dealerships that adopt structured data governance approaches may improve marketing performance, protect profit margins, strengthen first-party data, and build consumer trust.

According to a press release, Howard Latham, chief operating officer of A2C, said many dealerships underestimate the scope of their risk exposure.

“Most dealerships don’t realize how much unseen risk exists across their marketing and technology stack,” Latham said. “The good news is that when privacy is approached correctly, it becomes a driver of efficiency, stronger customer relationships, and ultimately revenue.”

The webinar is part of ongoing efforts by RVDA to provide education and resources to its members as regulatory conditions evolve.

RVDA represents RV retailers across the United States and provides education, advocacy, and member services to support dealership operations.
