RV Technical Institute Launches Level 1 Spanish Exam Pilot

The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) has launched its Level 1 Spanish Exam Pilot Program, marking the next phase of its effort to expand Spanish-language accessibility in RV technician certification, with participation open to all applicants.

The pilot program is designed to evaluate translated exam materials and gather targeted feedback to support the development of Spanish-language certification standards.

The initiative follows an earlier announcement outlining the Institute’s plan to introduce Spanish-language testing options.

Participants in the pilot will complete two testing sessions that include four components: two written exams and two performance-based assessments.

The structure is intended to assess both technical knowledge and practical skills while also validating the accuracy and clarity of the Spanish translations.

Certified technicians who take part in the program are eligible to earn up to eight Continuing Education Credits, with two credits awarded per exam.

In addition to completing the exams, participants will be required to provide feedback through three survey questions embedded within each test, focusing on Spanish technical terminology, grammar, and overall comprehension.

All pilot exams must be completed by June 12. According to the institute, data collected during the pilot may be used to inform future development of Spanish-language certification exams.

The program comes as demand for certified RV technicians continues to increase, with the institute positioning the initiative as part of a broader effort to improve accessibility within the certification pathway.

The pilot also aims to support Spanish-speaking technicians by creating a more accessible route to certification.

The institute indicated that participant feedback will play a role in refining exam content to ensure it meets industry standards while remaining accessible to a wider audience.
