RV Industry Association Board of Directors has announced the formation of a new Sustainability Committee dedicated to promoting sustainable practices in the RV industry.
The committee will be composed of members from the RV Industry Association who are passionate about a sustainable future for the industry.
This committee will facilitate in-depth conversations and information sharing among sustainability experts in the industry and will be an educational resource for companies seeking to increase their sustainability practices.
At the RV Leadership Conference, the announcement was made to attendees during the “A Conversation About Sustainability” panel.
The panel featured industry leaders who discussed their own professional journeys in leading sustainability efforts in their companies and the steps their RV companies are taking to promote sustainable practices.
The audience also participated in the conversation, sharing their own sustainable practices.
The new Sustainability Committee will focus on three key activities. Firstly, it will convene members for detailed discussions and information sharing on ways to make the industry more environmentally friendly.
Secondly, it will explore the best practices for marketing sustainability efforts while avoiding a perception of “greenwashing.”
Lastly, the committee will manage the development of a survey on sustainability and other corporate responsibility activities of association members.
The committee will hold a virtual meeting in the coming month and an in-person meeting during RVs Move America Week in DC on Tuesday, June 6.
The group will be made up of sustainability subject matter experts from member companies, as well as those looking to learn more about sustainability efforts.
