REV Group, a leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles in the fire & emergency, commercial, and recreation industries, has released its 2022 Corporate Sustainability Report.
The report highlighted the company’s progress and continued commitment to environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) priorities, as per the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association.
REV Group, led by CEO Rod Rushing, began its sustainability journey in 2019 and had been making progress in the four years since. They are dedicated to enhancing the lives of their customers and communities while fulfilling their role as a leader in sustainability and safety in their industry.
The report confirms that the Board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee has been assigned responsibility for oversight of the company’s ESG program, solidifying ESG commitment and accountability strategy.
Additionally, REV Group has published its Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Human Rights policies that govern and provide guiding principles for each of its 18 manufacturing sites.
To minimize its environmental impact, REV Group has launched advanced zero-emission, alternative fuel solutions for its mass transit bus, school bus, ambulance, fire, and terminal truck companies.
The company also reported reduced energy use and related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions over FY2021 following improved operational efficiencies.
REV Group also plans to expand data and reporting to understand its environmental footprint better, allowing for more targeted plans to reduce GHG emissions, water use, and waste generation in 2023.
The company also supports the communities where its manufacturers operate with volunteering and monetary donations to over 75 local charities.
