Explore Austin Lake RV Park and Cabins: Overnight Camping Set from May to October

Austin Lake RV Park and Cabins continues to evolve, offering an array of amenities and activities designed to enhance the camping experience for families and individuals alike. Starting May 1 and extending through October 15, the park will open its doors for overnight camping, according to a Weirton Daily Times report

The park has overnight sites, which are fully equipped with essential utilities, including sewer hookups, and options for 30- or 50-amp electric and water connections, catering to the needs of modern campers. Reservations can be made online.

In addition to the standard camping amenities, the park is known for its themed weekends, a highlight for many visitors. The park includes a variety of planned activities aimed at enhancing the communal and festive atmosphere of the park. 

The park’s commitment to improvement and expansion is evident in the addition of eight new log cabins to its existing array, bringing the total to 17. These new accommodations, named Butterfly, Katydid, and Ladybug, are being introduced this spring and are situated near the overnight camping area known as Silk Stocking. Each cabin, while unique, offers air conditioning, paddle fans, a loft, and a porch, ensuring comfort and convenience for guests.

Austin Lake RV Park and Cabins continues to enhance the camping experience for its guests with the introduction of large and level grassy lots, centrally located for convenience and accessibility. These sites are near essential amenities such as the Bath House, ensuring comfort and cleanliness. 

Additionally, the creek, playground, basketball court, and fish pond are just a short walk away, offering a variety of recreational activities for families and individuals alike. The introduction of concrete patios in most Silk Stocking sites, excluding Silk 11A & 11B.

The Silk Stocking sites, particularly those located directly on Town Fork Creek (Silk Stocking 5 through 11B), offer a unique camping experience with the soothing sounds of flowing water adding to the ambiance. Site 16A stands out as a pull-through option with a cement patio on both sides, accommodating larger rigs with ease and allowing for versatile positioning. 

Each site is equipped with a compacted limestone parking base, and a 30 and 50-amp pedestal-style electric service with an additional 120-volt/20-amp GFI plug, ensuring all the electrical needs of modern campers are met. Furthermore, amenities such as picnic tables and fire rings with adjustable grates are standard, enhancing the outdoor living experience.

For those seeking proximity to water activities and more, the Red Carpet sites RC 30 through RC 34 are ideally situated directly on Town Fork Creek. These sites not only offer the standard 30 and 50-amp pedestal-style electric service with an additional 120-volt/20-amp GFI plug but also feature a circular cobblestone sitting area around a fire ring with an adjustable grate, perfect for evening gatherings. The limestone parking base and concrete patio add a touch of luxury and convenience to the camping experience, making these sites particularly appealing to those with larger rigs.
