The 2022 RV Dealers Convention/Expo at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas wrapped up on November 11, with the final seminar on becoming a more effective leader.
The total number of attendees registered was 1,811 exhibitors, dealers, and partners from the industry, an increase of 16% from the 2021 event, according to a press release by the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA).
“The RVDA Convention/Expo Committee, chaired by Ryan Horsey of Parkview RV Center, put together an event that had something for all types and sizes of dealers,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia.
He said the industry partners provided great support and would help dealers prepare for whatever comes next year.
We were very pleased that dealers North America-wide could take advantage of such exceptional education and networking opportunities,” said the President of RVDA Canada, Eleonore Hamm.
At the U.S. association’s annual meeting, Nathan Hart of Walnut Ridge Family RV Sales in New Castle, IN, was elected the 2022-23 RVDA chairman of the board. The association also awarded their James B. Summers Award, the highest honor given by the association, to Brian Wilkins of Wilkins RV in Bath, NY.
The chairman who is retiring Mike Pearo of Hilltop Camper and RV in Fridley, MN, presented the RVDA Chairman’s Service Award to an owner and an industry partner.
The chairman of the board gives out the awards yearly to honor those who have made a substantial contribution of time and effort to the organization over a lengthy period.
The honorees are selected from the chair. The recipient for the dealer is Chris Andro of Hemlock Hill RV in Southington, CT, and Garry Enyart of Cummins was an industry winner of the award.
At the RVDA of Canada’s annual member meeting, RV Lifestyle/Dealer News presented Roland Goreski of Campkin’s RV Centre in Whitby, Ontario, with the most prestigious Canada RV Dealer Award.
Along with exhibitors-led Vendor Training +Plus sessions, the conference also included educational sessions focused on the most important aspects of dealer operations, including F&I Digital marketing, fixed operation sales, general management, and dealer concerns.
It is expected that the 2023 RV Dealers Convention/Expo will be scheduled for the week of November 6-10, 2023 in Paris, Las Vegas.
