Percy Quin State Park, an outdoor destination in McComb, Mississippi, is set to unveil its renovations with a grand re-opening celebration on August 2. The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks invites visitors to experience the park’s transformation, beginning with a social gathering at the all-new camp store at 8:00 a.m.
Attendees will be treated to a program showcasing the park’s improvements and the official unveiling of the new campground. Guests will also have the opportunity to tour the newly renovated cabins and explore the updated camping facilities.
The renovations have improved Percy Quin State Park’s offerings. Five two-bedroom cabins have been completely refurbished, with one specifically designed to meet ADA accessibility standards. Additionally, two one-bedroom duplex cabins have undergone extensive renovations.
Each renovated cabin is equipped with stainless steel kitchen appliances, including a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffee station. The dining areas have been also refreshed with solid surface countertops, while the living rooms feature new furniture, 50-inch flatscreen TVs with satellite service, and cozy electric fireplaces.
Bedrooms have been outfitted with new furniture, and bathrooms now showcase ceramic tile walk-in showers for added comfort and style. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the cabins’ new exterior amenities. Each cabin boasts a porch complete with a picnic table, firepit, and grill, perfect for enjoying meals and gatherings in the fresh air. For those seeking a bug-free outdoor experience, a screened-in back porch with furniture provides an ideal spot for relaxation.

Another aspect of the renovations focuses on campsites. Percy Quin State Park now offers 102 newly updated RV campsites, each providing full hookups with water, electricity, and sewer connections. Every site comes equipped with a picnic table and grill, ensuring campers have all the essentials for a comfortable stay. For those seeking a more premium experience, select sites feature larger pads and scenic lake views.
